Cheese cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 250 grams. cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups of flour 

Preparation:

Beat well the butter with the cream cheese and gradually add the sugar.

Then add the egg and vanilla. Mix flour with yeast.

Leave mixture in the fridge and let it cool down for a few hours.

Before removing it from fridge heat the oven to 180 degrees.

Make small rolls with the dough and place them on a baking sheet.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-9 minutes.

Do not overbake: cookies will eventually be soft. They will puff while baking and flatten while cooling.
