Media personality Minnie Dlamini has hit back at the SIU and called them out for using her as the face of corruption in a case she got involved in unknowingly.

The tv presenter issued a statement explaining her involvement in the 2016 event which was allegedly organised used stolen money.

Minnie acknowledged that she received a booking fee of R50 000 to take part in the event but unfortunately the event was cancelled and according to her cancellation terms, a refund was not due to the organisers. However, following the investigation by the SIU, she complied and refunded the money in full.

Minnie maintains her innocence, claiming she has no idea the money she received was from fraudulent activities.
