Kaya 959 announced that Thato Sikwane, better known as DJ Fresh is the new breakfast show host. DJ Fresh joins Kaya to replace Sizwe Dhlomo was left the station effective immediately in late May 2026. Sikwane and team will take over the breakfast show airwaves starting 1st July. Partnering with his long-time on-air collaborator and trusted producer, Thato Mataboge, DJ Fresh will bring his authority and connection to audiences across Gauteng every weekday from 06:00 to 09:00, says the station. This appointment marks a defining moment for Kaya 959 as the station continues to strengthen its position as Gauteng's destination for influential, affluent and culturally engaged listeners.
