Organisers of the Ye, formerly Kanye West concert that was set to be hosted in Johannesburg South Africa on 13 December have announced that the show will no longer take place as scheduled.

South African music fans were taken aback by the initial announcement of the show, with some doubting if this new promoter would actually pull it off.  Some allegedly claimed it was scam from the get go.

According to the statement released by Monyake Group, the show has now been transferred to Yeezy Production, who will now take over the organisation of the show.

“Monyake Group (Pty) Ltd hereby confirms that the upcoming show will no longer take place on 13 December 2025”.

“The show has been officially transferred to Yeezy Production, who will take over all future planning, communication, and execution of the event. This transition forms part of a wider strategic direction regarding the production and delivery of the show”.

“The public is advised to await an official announcement from Ye's platforms, where updated details about the new show date will be communicate”.

Fans who had already purchased tickets are urged to contest the ticketing provider for a refund.

“All existing tickets for the 13 December show will be fully refunded by Ticketpro.

Ticket holders must follow Ticketpro's official refund process: Refund support email: info@ticketpro.co.za All queries regarding refunds must be directed to Ticketpro as the authorised ticketing provider”, read the statement.

Future show information details regarding the rescheduled event under Yeezy Production will be communicated directly by Ye's official platforms.
