TV and radio presenter Anele Mdoda has been ordered by the CCMA to pay her former helper R90 000 over claims of unfiar dismissal.
Anele's former helper Thuleleni Mlalazi, popularly known as Florence dragged the radio jock to the CCMA unfair dismissal and a vehicle ownership dispute.
Through the CCMA Anele and Florence were able to reach a settlement agreement in which Anele agreed to pay Mlalazi R90 000. The agreement was reached on 6 August 2025 and on 25 August 2025 Anele would pay R20 000 into Florence's bank account and further monthly instalments of R2000 to settle the vehicle ownership dispute.
Florence filed her complaint with the CCMA after she was allegedly unfairly dismissed by Anele and her husband for failing to fetch their child from a sports match on her day off.
In response to Florence's claims, Anele confirmed that she fired Florence for theft among other things. She further said she would address this issue on her breakfast radio show on 947 FM.
