Chanley Wong - Bio

Chanley is from the small town of Benoni, the 29 year old likes to refer to herself as a "mix- masala" seeing as she is mixed race and able to speak both English and Afrikaans. She is a Television Presenter, whose journey in television started in 2013. She was able to get a presenting gig on ETV after they held a nationwide auditioning process.

In 2016 Chanley went on to being nominated for two consecutive years (2016 and 2017) at the SAFTAs (South African Film and Television Awards) under the “Best Television Presenter” category. She is the youngest individual to ever be nominated for a SAFTA where she had to fight it out amongst the best veterans in the television industry.

In 2018, she made her acting debut on the ETV soapie, “Scandal” - with her role as Ms Jasmine Gee.

She has also featured in many television commercials in both Asia and South Africa. Currently,

Chanley devotes majority of her time as a content creator for brands and absolutely loves creating video content. Content creation is her passion!

She is also currently part of the 947 Crew where she keeps the city connected via the 947 social media pages, website as well doing on air crossings to studio. And last but not least, she is also the stand- n traffic presenter on the 947 Drive With Thando show.
